We’re back in the swing of things at the school again. Term 3 classes are underway and we’re madly trying to finish teaching the syllabus to our classes before the next exam period begins.
The project I’m enjoying the most this term is the 8th grade life science practical work. We are planting a vegetable garden. We have already created a small nursery with tomato seedlings and spinach seedlings, and we prepared the soil for planting.
Some of the girls told me they’ll teach me how to cook oshifima next week. Oshifima is the staple food here, millet porridge, and I have grown to love it.
FYI, there has been a problem with our mail. If you need to reach us, please send an e-mail instead of a letter. We don’t get to check e-mail often, but it’s much more reliable than the postal system here.
